The collective for a group of elephants is a Memory,
because they all share in one as they roam
across their common home beneath the sun.
Each and every one committed to their memory’s survival,
despite the depredations of mankind, their deadliest foe
and so, kind in this cruel context is a misnomer
of the grossest kind, the whole world over.
